: قُلْتُ لَهُ أَوْ سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ رَجُلٍ اِدَّعَتْ عَلَيْهِ اِمْرَأَتُهُ أَنَّهُ عِنِّينٌ وَ يُنْكِرُ ذَلِكَ اَلرَّجُلُ قَالَ "تَحْشُوهَا اَلْقَابِلَةُ بِالْخَلُوقِ وَ لاَ يَعْلَمُ اَلرَّجُلُ وَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهَا فَإِنْ خَرَجَ وَ عَلَى ذَكَرِهِ اَلْخَلُوقُ صَدَقَ وَ كَذَبَتْ وَ إِلاَّ صَدَقَتْ وَ كَذَبَ".

محمد ابن علی ابن محبوب نے احمد ابن محمد سے روایت کی، ان کے والد سے، عبداللہ ابن الفضل ہاشمی سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: میں نے ان سے کہا، یا ایک شخص نے ان سے پوچھا، ایک ایسے شخص کے بارے میں جس کی بیوی نے اس پر الزام لگایا کہ وہ بے بس ہے، جبکہ وہ شخص اس انکار کرتا ہے۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: دائہ کو چاہیے کہ وہ خَلُوق اس پر لگائے بغیر کہ مرد کو معلوم ہو، اور وہ اس کے پاس جائے۔ پھر اگر وہ باہر آئے اور اس کے عضو تناسل پر خَلُوق ہو، تو وہ سچ بولا اور وہ جھوٹ بولی؛ ورنہ وہ سچ بولی اور وہ جھوٹ بولا۔
Translation
Hadith.4891 - Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Mahbub narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad, from his father, from Abdullah ibn al-Fadl al-Hashimi, from Abu Abdullah (as) who said: I asked Imam (as), or a man asked Imam (as), about a man whose wife accused him of being impotent while the man denied it. Imam (as) replied: "The midwife should apply khaluq (a type of perfume) to her without the man's knowledge. Then the man should enter upon her. If he comes out and khaluq is found on his private part, he has spoken the truth and she has lied. But if it is not found, then she has spoken the truth and he has lied."
