5149 - وَ خَطَبَ أَمِيرُ اَلْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ اَلنَّاسَ فَقَالَ: "إِنَّ اَللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى حَدَّ حُدُوداً فَلاَ تَعْتَدُوهَا وَ فَرَضَ فَرَائِضَ فَلاَ تَنْقُصُوهَا وَ سَكَتَ عَنْ أَشْيَاءَ لَمْ يَسْكُتْ عَنْهَا نِسْيَاناً لَهَا فَلاَ تُكَلَّفُوهَا رَحْمَةً مِنَ اَللَّهِ لَكُمْ فَاقْبَلُوهَا" ثُمَّ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ "حَلاَلٌ بَيِّنٌ وَ حَرَامٌ بَيِّنٌ وَ شُبُهَاتٌ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ فَمَنْ تَرَكَ مَا اِشْتَبَهَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ اَلْإِثْمِ فَهُوَ لِمَا اِسْتَبَانَ لَهُ أَتْرَكُ وَ اَلْمَعَاصِي حِمَى اَللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ فَمَنْ يَرْتَعْ حَوْلَهَا يُوشِكْ أَنْ يَدْخُلَهَا".

امیرالمؤمنین علیہ السلام نے لوگوں سے خطاب کیا اور فرمایا: "بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ نے حدود مقرر کی ہیں، لہٰذا ان کی حد بندی کو عبور نہ کرو؛ اور فرضیات مقرر کی ہیں، لہٰذا انہیں کم نہ کرو۔ اور کچھ امور پر خاموش رہے ہیں—یہ خاموشی بھولنے کی وجہ سے نہیں ہے—لہٰذا اپنے آپ کو ان امور کے بارے میں بوجھ نہ دو، کیونکہ یہ اللہ کی طرف سے تم پر رحمت ہے؛ اس کو قبول کرو۔" پھر علی علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: "حلال واضح ہے، اور حرام واضح ہے، اور شک کے امور ان کے درمیان ہیں۔ پس جو شخص گناہ کے بارے میں شک میں پڑے ہوئے امور کو چھوڑ دے، تو وہ اس کے لیے واضح ہو جانے والے امور کو چھوڑنے کا زیادہ اہل ہوگا۔ اور نافرمانی کے اعمال اللہ عزوجل کی حرم ہیں؛ پس جو اس کے گرد چرنے لگے وہ جلد ہی اس میں داخل ہونے والا ہے۔"
Translation
Hadith.5149 - Commander of the Faithful (as) delivered a sermon to the people and said: "Indeed, Allah (swt), the Blessed and Exalted, has set boundaries, so do not transgress them. He (swt) has made obligations, so do not neglect them. And He (swt) has remained silent on certain matters - not out of forgetfulness - so do not burden yourselves with them. This is a mercy from Allah (swt) for you, so accept it." Then Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) said: "What is lawful (halal) is clear, and what is unlawful (haram) is clear, and between them are doubtful matters. Whoever avoids what is doubtful regarding sin will be even more cautious in avoiding what is clearly sinful. The acts of disobedience are the sanctuary of Allah (swt), the Mighty and Majestic.
