اور ʿعلیٰ علیہ السلام نے چار مردوں کے بارے میں فیصلہ دیا جو شیر کے گڑھے میں جھانک رہے تھے، پھر ان میں سے ایک گر پڑا، تو وہ دوسرے سے چمٹ گیا، اور دوسرا تیسرے سے چمٹ گیا، اور تیسرا چوتھے سے چمٹ گیا، یہاں تک کہ ان میں سے کچھ نے دوسروں کو شیر پر گرایا۔ پس اس نے پہلے کے بارے میں فیصلہ دیا کہ وہ شیر کا شکار ہے، اور اس کے خاندان پر دوسرے کے خاندان کے لیے دیہ کا ایک تہائی عائد کیا۔ اور اس نے دوسرے کے خاندان پر تیسرے کے خاندان کے لیے دیہ کے دو تہائی عائد کیے۔ اور اس نے تیسرے کے خاندان پر چوتھے کے خاندان کے لیے مکمل دیہ عائد کیا۔

Translation

Hadith.5234 - Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (as) ruled in the case of four people who were looking into a lion's pit. One of them fell in and grabbed onto the second, the second grabbed onto the third, and the third grabbed onto the fourth until they all pulled each other down onto the lion. Imam (as) ruled that the first was considered the prey of the lion, and his family was required to pay one-third of the blood money (diyyah) to the family of the second. The family of the second was required to pay two-thirds of the diyyah to the family of the third. The family of the third was required to pay the full diyyah to the family of the fourth.
