5464 - یہ روایت ہے ابو طالب عبداللہ ابن الصلت القمی سے کہ انہوں نے فرمایا: الخلیل ابن ہاشم نے ذوالریاستین کو خط لکھا جو نیشابور کے والی تھے کہ ایک مجوسی مرد فوت ہوا اور اس نے اپنی دولت میں سے کچھ غریبوں کے لیے وصیت کی۔ نیشابور میں وصی نے اسے لے کر مسلمانوں کے غریبوں میں تقسیم کر دیا۔ چنانچہ الخلیل نے اس بارے میں ذوالریاستین کو خط لکھا، اور اس نے المأمون سے پوچھا۔ اس نے کہا، 'میرے پاس اس بارے میں کچھ نہیں ہے۔' پھر اس نے ابو الحسن علیہ السلام سے پوچھا، اور ابو الحسن علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: ’’مجوسی نے مسلمانوں کے غریبوں کے لیے وصیت نہیں کی۔ بلکہ اس مال کے برابر رقم صدقہ کے مال سے لی جائے اور مجوسیوں کے غریبوں کو واپس کی جائے۔‘‘

Translation

Hadith.5464 - It was narrated from Abu Ṭalib Abdullah ibn Al-Ṣalt Al-Qummi that he said: Al-Khalil ibn Hashim wrote to Dhu Al-Ri'asatayn, who was the governor of Nishapur, informing him that a man from the Magians had passed away and had bequeathed a portion of his wealth to the poor. The executor in Nishapur took that wealth and distributed it among the poor Muslims. Al-Khalil wrote to Dhu Al-Riʾasatayn about this matter, and Dhu Al-Riʾasatayn consulted Al-Maʾmun, who said: "I have no ruling on this issue." Then he asked Abu Al-Hasan (as), and Abu Al-Hasan (as) replied: "The Magian did not bequeath his wealth to the poor Muslims. Therefore, it is appropriate that an equivalent amount from the charity funds be taken and returned to the poor among the Magians."
