اَلْمَخْرَجِ وَ قِرَاءَةِ اَلْقُرْآنِ فَقَالَ «لَمْ يُرَخَّصْ فِي اَلْكَنِيفِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ آيَةِ اَلْكُرْسِيِّ وَ يَحْمَدَ اَللَّهَ أَوْ آيَةِ «اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ اَلْعٰالَمِينَ.

ʿUmar ibn Yazīd نے Abā ʿAbdillāh علیہ السلام سے وضو کے مقام پر تسبیح اور قرآن کی تلاوت کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ تو انہوں نے فرمایا: وضو کے مقام پر آیت الکرسی سے زیادہ تلاوت کی اجازت نہیں ہے، یا اللہ کی حمد کی جائے، یا وہ آیت پڑھی جائے: “تمام تعریفیں اللہ ہی کے لیے ہیں، جو تمام جہانوں کا رب ہے۔”
Translation
Hadith.57 - Omar ibn Yazid asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq (as) about the recitation of supplications in the restroom and reading the Qur'an. Imam (as) said: "It is not permitted to recite more than the Ayat al-Kursi or to praise Allah (swt) (by saying) 'All praise is due to Allah (swt), the Lord (azj) of the worlds' while in the restroom."
