Surah Al-A'laa

Uthmani — Hafs

سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى ﴿١﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

(اے نبیؐ) اپنے رب برتر کے نام کی تسبیح کرو

The Clear Quran — Mustafa Khattab

Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High

Uthmani — Hafs

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ﴿٢﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

جس نے پیدا کیا اور تناسب قائم کیا

Who created and ˹perfectly˺ fashioned ˹all˺

Uthmani — Hafs

وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ ﴿٣﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

جس نے تقدیر بنائی پھر راہ دکھائی

and Who ordained precisely and inspired accordingly

Uthmani — Hafs

وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ ﴿٤﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

جس نے نباتات اگائیں

The Clear Quran — Mustafa Khattab

and Who brings forth ˹green˺ pasture

Uthmani — Hafs

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ ﴿٥﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

پھر اُن کو سیاہ کوڑا کرکٹ بنا دیا

then reduces it to withered chaff

Uthmani — Hafs

سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ ﴿٦﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

ہم تمہیں پڑھوا دیں گے، پھر تم نہیں بھولو گے

The Clear Quran — Mustafa Khattab

We will have you recite ˹the Quran, O Prophet,˺ so you will not forget ˹any of it˺

Uthmani — Hafs

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ ﴿٧﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

سوائے اُس کے جو اللہ چاہے، وہ ظاہر کو بھی جانتا ہے اور جو کچھ پوشیدہ ہے اُس کو بھی

unless Allah wills otherwise. He surely knows what is open and what is hidden

Uthmani — Hafs

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ ﴿٨﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

اور ہم تمہیں آسان طریقے کی سہولت دیتے ہیں

We will facilitate for you the Way of Ease

Uthmani — Hafs

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ ﴿٩﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

لہٰذا تم نصیحت کرو اگر نصیحت نافع ہو

So ˹always˺ remind ˹with the Quran˺—˹even˺ if the reminder is beneficial ˹only to some˺

Uthmani — Hafs

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ ﴿١٠﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

جو شخص ڈرتا ہے وہ نصیحت قبول کر لے گا

Those in awe ˹of Allah˺ will be mindful ˹of it˺

Uthmani — Hafs

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى ﴿١١﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

اور اس سے گریز کریگا وہ انتہائی بد بخت

But it will be shunned by the most wretched

ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ ﴿١٢﴾

جو بڑی آگ میں جائے گا

who will burn in the greatest Fire

Uthmani — Hafs

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ ﴿١٣﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

پھر نہ اس میں مرے گا نہ جیے گا

where they will not ˹be able to˺ live or die

Uthmani — Hafs

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ ﴿١٤﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

فلاح پا گیا وہ جس نے پاکیزگی اختیار کی

Successful indeed are those who purify themselves

Uthmani — Hafs

وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ ﴿١٥﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

اور اپنے رب کا نام یاد کیا پھر نماز پڑھی

remember the Name of their Lord, and pray

بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا ﴿١٦﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

مگر تم لوگ دنیا کی زندگی کو ترجیح دیتے ہو

The Clear Quran — Mustafa Khattab

But you ˹deniers only˺ prefer the life of this world

Uthmani — Hafs

وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ ﴿١٧﴾

Tafhim al-Quran — Maududi

حالانکہ آخرت بہتر ہے اور باقی رہنے والی ہے

even though the Hereafter is far better and more lasting

Uthmani — Hafs

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ ﴿١٨﴾

یہی بات پہلے آئے ہوئے صحیفوں میں بھی کہی گئی تھی

This is certainly ˹mentioned˺ in the earlier Scriptures—

صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ ﴿١٩﴾

ابراہیمؑ اور موسیٰؑ کے صحیفوں میں
