Assemblies of God is a living tradition within Pentecostalism. Also written General Council of the Assemblies of God, World Assemblies of God Fellowship.
Origin
Founding date given as 1914. About 300 Pentecostal ministers and lay people met at Hot Springs, Arkansas, in 1914 to create the General Council of the Assemblies of God. In 1916 the General Council approved a Statement of Fundamental Truths affirming Trinitarian orthodoxy.
