Kānjī Svāmī Panth is a living tradition within Digambara. Also written Kanji Panth, Kanjipanth, Kānjī-svāmī-panthin.
Origin
Founder named in the sources: Kanji Swami, 1890–1980. No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. SOAS: Kanji Swami (1890–1980), 'a Digambara Jain lay reformer active in mid-20th century Gujarat', whose approach rejected 'institutionalised forms of monasticism and asceticism in favour of individual efforts to gain spiritual liberation'. Jainpedia's FAQ lists Kānjī-svāmī-panthin among 20th-century Digambara subsects. Neither source gives a founding year.
