Origin
No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. NULL: the third Dönme sub-sect, drawn from the merchant and intellectual class, culturally and economically dominant in Salonica and the most assimilated into Turkish society. No founder or founding year verified.
