Lu-Wang school (Learning of Heart-mind, xinxue) is a living tradition within Daoxue / Neo-Confucianism (Song-Ming lixue). Also written 陸王心學, School of Mind, Yangmingism, Wang Yangming school.
Origin
Founders named in the sources: Lu Xiangshan / Lu Jiuyuan (1139–1193), Wang Yangming (1472–1529). No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. No founding date in my sources. Holds that 'mind is principle' (xin ji li) and emphasises the extension of innate moral knowing (liangzhi) and the unity of knowledge and action, against the Cheng-Zhu programme of investigating external things.
