Origin
Founder named in the sources: Louis Farrakhan. Founding date given as 1977. WRSP records that members dissatisfied with Wallace Muhammad's reforms, including Louis Farrakhan, broke away in 1977 to preserve Elijah Muhammad's nationalist legacy, re-establishing the Nation of Islam with similar ideologies but without the demand for a separate state.
