Pārśvacandra-gaccha is a living tradition within Tapā-gaccha. Also written Parshvachandra Gaccha, Payachand Gaccha.
Origin
Founder named in the sources: Pārśvacandra-sūri. Founding date given as 1516. Jainpedia, Śvetāmbara Mūrti-pūjaka page: 'The first subsect was established in 1516 CE by Pārśvacandra-sūri, the leader of the Nagpur branch of the Tapā-gaccha.' [CORRECTION] The first pass stated 'No founder and no founding date given'; the single cited source gives both, and the parent order. 72 mendicants in 1996 (same source) is correct as recorded.
