Puṣṭimārga (Vallabha Sampradāya) is a living tradition within Vaiṣṇavism. Also written Pushtimarg, Vallabhacharya sect, Rudra Sampradāya (traditional affiliation).
Origin
Founder named in the sources: Vallabha (Vallabhācārya). No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. Britannica: Vallabha, 'born 1479, Chaudanagar, near Raipur—died 1531, Benares', founder of the Vallabhācārya (Vallabha Sampradāya) devotional sect, 'also known as the Pushtimarg (from Sanskrit pushtimarga, "way of flourishing")'. Worldmark gives his birth as 1479. Neither gives a founding year for the sampradāya.
