Origin
Founder named in the sources: Taraṇ Svāmī, 1448–1515. No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. Jainpedia: founded by Taraṇ Svāmī (1448–1515); the tradition 'worships sacred texts rather than Jina images'. Its centre is Bundelkhand in Madhya Pradesh. No founding year for the panth is given.
