Tijaniyya is a living tradition within Sufism. Also written Tijani order.
Origin
Founder named in the sources: Ahmad al-Tijani (1737-1815). No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. Ahmad al-Tijani's dates are given as 1737-1815. The order is described in the scholarship as having grown over the last century into one of the largest Sufi orders in the world. No founding year is given by the sources reached.
