Origin
Founder named in the sources: Jacob Querido. No founding year is given below, because the sources read do not agree on one and a date has not been chosen for them. NULL: one of the three Dönme sub-sects identified in modern scholarship following Baer. Formed around Jacob Querido, Shabbetai Tzevi's brother-in-law, who claimed to be his reincarnation. No founding year verified.
