سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ الْعَبْدُ الْحُرَّةَ فَوُلْدُهُ أَحْرَارٌ وَ إِذَا تَزَوَّجَ الْحُرُّ الْأَمَةَ فَوُلْدُهُ أَحْرَارٌ .
Translation
Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Ali Bin Asbaat, and Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, altogether from Al Hakam Bin Miskeen, from Jameel Bin Darraj who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘When the slave marries the free woman, so his children would be free, and when the free man marries the slave woman, so his children would (also) be free’.
