سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْإِمَامَ لَيَسْمَعُ فِي بَطْنِ أُمِّهِ فَإِذَا وُلِدَ خُطَّ بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ وَ تَمَّتْ كَلِمَةُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقاً وَ عَدْلًا لا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِماتِهِ وَ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ فَإِذَا صَارَ الْأَمْرُ إِلَيْهِ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُ عَمُوداً مِنْ نُورٍ يُبْصِرُ بِهِ مَا يَعْمَلُ أَهْلُ كُلِّ بَلْدَةٍ .

ہم سے ہمارے بعض اصحاب نے، احمد بن محمد سے، ابن محبوب سے، ربیع بن محمد المسلی سے، محمد بن مروان سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابا عبد اللہ (عليه السلام) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا: “بے شک امام اپنی ماں کے پیٹ میں ہی سنتا ہے۔” پس جب وہ پیدا ہوتا ہے تو اس کے دونوں کندھوں کے درمیان لکھ دیا جاتا ہے: “اور آپ کے رب کی بات سچائی اور انصاف کے ساتھ پوری ہو گئی؛ اس کی باتوں کو بدلنے والا کوئی نہیں، اور وہ خوب سننے والا، خوب جاننے والا ہے۔” پھر جب امر اس کی طرف آتا ہے تو اللہ اس کے لیے نور کا ایک ستون بنا دیتا ہے جس کے ذریعے وہ دیکھتا ہے کہ ہر شہر کے لوگ کیا کر رہے ہیں۔”
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Al Rabie Bin Muhammad Al Musly, from Muhammad Bin Marwan who said, ‘I heard Abu Abdullah<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> saying: ‘The Imam<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> hears in the belly of his<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> mother. So when he<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> comes (to the world), it is inscribed between his<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> shoulders <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:6#h115"><a href="/books/quran:6#h115">[6:115]</a></a> And the Word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly; there is none who can change His Words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing</span><span class="bTxt">. </span> So when the command comes to him<sup>asws</sup>, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Makes a pillar of light to be for him<sup>asws</sup>. He<sup>asws</sup> visualizes with it what is being done by the inhabitants of every city’.
