یحییٰ بن عبد اللہ ابو الحسن، صاحب الدیلم، نے ہم سے روایت کی؛ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے جعفر بن محمد علیہ السلام کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا، جبکہ ان کے پاس اہلِ کوفہ میں سے کچھ لوگ موجود تھے: لوگوں کے بارے میں کیا عجیب بات ہے: انہوں نے اپنا سارا علم رسول اللہ صلى الله عليه وآله سے لیا، پھر اس پر عمل کیا اور ہدایت پائی، مگر وہ یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ ان کے اہلِ بیت نے ان کا علم نہیں لیا—حالانکہ ہم ان کے اہلِ بیت اور ان کی ذریت ہیں۔ ہمارے گھروں ہی میں وحی نازل ہوئی، اور ہم ہی سے علم ان تک پہنچا۔ پھر کیا وہ یہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ وہ جان گئے اور ہدایت پا گئے، جبکہ ہم جاہل رہے اور گمراہ ہوئے؟ بے شک یہ ناممکن ہے۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub who said, ‘Yahya Bin Abdullah Abu Al Hassan Sahib Al Daylam said, ‘I heard Ja’far Bin Muhammad^asws saying, and in his^asws presence were people from the inhabitants of Al-Kufa: ‘I^asws am astounded at the people. They are taking their knowledge, all of it as being from Rasool-Allah^saww, and they are acting by it, and are guiding, and they are reporting that the People^asws of his^saww Household are not taking his^saww knowledge, and we^asws are the People^asws of his^saww Household, and his^saww offspring. In our^asws Household did the Revelation descend, and from us^asws did the knowledge come out to them. Are they reporting that they are knowing and are being guided, and we^asws are ignorant and straying? This is impossible!’
