قَالَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) لِسَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ وَ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ عُتَيْبَةَ شَرِّقَا وَ غَرِّبَا فَلَا تَجِدَانِ عِلْماً صَحِيحاً إِلَّا شَيْئاً خَرَجَ مِنْ عِنْدِنَا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ .

ہمارے چند اصحاب نے، احمد بن محمد سے، وہ الوشّاء سے، وہ ثعلبہ بن میمون سے، وہ ابی مریم سے روایت کی، جنہوں نے کہا: ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے سَلَمَہ بن کُہَیل اور الحکم بن عُتَیبہ سے فرمایا: “مشرق و مغرب میں چلے جاؤ، مگر تمہیں کوئی صحیح علم نہیں ملے گا سوائے اس کے جو ہم اہلِ بیت سے صادر ہوا ہے۔”
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Washha, from Sa’alba Bin Maymoun, from Abu Maryam who said, ‘Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> said to Salmat Bin Kuheyl and Al-Hakam Bin Oteyba: ‘(Even if you were to fo) east and west, so you two will not find correct knowledge except something which came out from us<sup>asws</sup>, the People<sup>asws</sup> of the Household’.
