ابو علی الاشعری نے محمد بن عبد الجبار سے اور محمد بن اسماعیل نے الفضل بن شاذان سے، دونوں نے صفوان بن یحیٰ سے، انہوں نے ابن مسکان سے، انہوں نے الحلبی سے روایت کی، کہا: میں نے حضرت ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے اس شکار کے بارے میں پوچھا جسے آدمی تیر سے مارتا ہے تو وہ اسے چوڑائی میں لگ جاتا ہے اور اسے قتل کر دیتا ہے، حالانکہ اس نے تیر چلاتے وقت بسم اللہ پڑھی تھی، لیکن لوہا (تیر کی نوک) اسے نہیں لگا۔ تو آپ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اگر وہی تیر جو اسے لگا تھا وہی اسے مارنے والا ہو تو جب اسے ایسا دیکھے تو اسے کھا سکتا ہے۔

Translation

Abu Ali Al Ashary, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Jabbar, and Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Al Fazl Bin Shazaan, altogether from Safwan Bin Yahya, from Ibn Muskan, from Al Halby who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah^asws about the hunted prey which the man shoots at with an arrow, so he hits it sideways, and he kills it, and he had Named (<span class="iTxt">Bismillah</span>) when he shot it, and the iron (arrowhead) did not hit it. So he^asws said: ‘If it was the arrow which hit it, the one which killed it, so when he sees it as such, so let him eat’.
