هَكَذَا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ فَعَلُوا ما يُوعَظُونَ بِهِ فِي عَلِيٍّ لَكانَ خَيْراً لَهُمْ .

احمد بن مہران، رحمہ اللہ، سے، عبدالعظیم سے، بکار سے، جابر سے، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: یہی ہے کہ یہ آیت اس طرح نازل ہوئی: اور اگر وہ اس پر عمل کرتے جس کی انہیں ʿعلی کے بارے میں نصیحت کی گئی تھی، تو یہ یقیناً ان کے لیے بہتر ہوتا۔
Translation
Ahmad Bin Mihran, from Abdul Azeem, from Bakkar, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘<span style="text-decoration: underline">This is how this Verse was Revealed </span><span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:4#h66"><a href="/books/quran:4#h66">[4:66]</a></a> and if they had done what they were Advised with regarding Ali</span><sup class="ibTxt">asws</sup><span class="ibTxt">, it would have certainly been better for them</span>’.
