Al-Kafi 115

ہمارے کئی اصحاب نے احمد بن محمد بن خالد سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے، انہوں نے اس شخص سے جسے انہوں نے ذکر کیا، انہوں نے محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن ابی لیلیٰ سے، انہوں نے اپنے والد سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: میں نے ابو جعفر علیہ السلام کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا: جب تم علم سنو تو اسے استعمال کرو اور اپنے دلوں کو وسیع رکھو۔ کیونکہ جب علم کسی ایسے شخص کے دل میں زیادہ ہو جائے جو اسے برداشت نہیں کر سکتا تو شیطان اس پر قابو پا لیتا ہے۔ پس جب شیطان تم سے جھگڑے تو اس پر اس چیز سے حملہ کرو جو تم جانتے ہو، کیونکہ شیطان کی چال ہمیشہ سے کمزور رہی ہے۔ میں نے عرض کیا: اور وہ کیا ہے جو ہم جانتے ہیں؟ آپ نے فرمایا: اس سے اللہ عزوجل کی قدرت کے ان مظاہر سے لڑو جو تمہارے سامنے ظاہر ہوئے ہیں۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muihammad Bin Khalid, from his father, from the one who mentioned it, from Muhammad Bin Abdul Rahman Bin Abu Layli, from his father who said, ‘I heard Abu Ja’far^asws saying: ‘Whenever you hear the knowledge, so utilize it and let your hearts be accommodating, for the knowledge, when it is abundant in the heart of a man, would not tolerate the Satan^la to have power over him. So when the Satan^la disputes with you, so pile upon him^la with what you are recognising, for the plots of the Satan^la would always be weak’. So I said, ‘And what is that which we should be recognising?’ He<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘Be at odds with him with whatever appears to you from the Power of Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic’.
