John Shaqi

كَانَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ ( عليه السلام ) لَا يَدَعُ الْعَشَاءَ وَ لَوْ بِكَعْكَةٍ وَ كَانَ يَقُولُ ( عليه السلام ) إِنَّهُ قُوَّةٌ لِلْجِسْمِ وَ قَالَ وَ لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ وَ صَالِحٌ لِلْجِمَاعِ .


Translation

Ali Bin Muhammad Bin Bundar, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from Suleyman Bin Ja’far Al Ja’fary who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan<sup>asws</sup> did not leave the dinner, even though it be by a cake, and he<sup>asws</sup> was saying: ‘It is strengthening for the body’. And he<sup>asws</sup> said, and I do not know except that he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘And it is correctness for the copulation’.
