ابو جعفر (عليه السلام) نے مجھ سے فرمایا: "اے جابر، بے شک اللہ نے سب سے پہلے جو چیز پیدا کی، وہ محمد (صلى الله عليه وآله) اور ان کی عترت، ہدایت دینے والے اور ہدایت یافتہ، کو پیدا کیا۔ پس وہ اللہ کے سامنے نور کے پیکر تھے۔" میں نے عرض کیا: "پیکر کیا ہیں؟" فرمایا: "نور کا سایہ: نورانی اجسام بغیر روحوں کے، اور وہ ایک ہی روح کے ذریعے مؤید تھے، اور وہ روح القدس ہے۔" پس اسی کے ذریعے وہ اللہ کی عبادت کرتے تھے، اور ان کی عترت بھی، اور اسی وجہ سے اللہ نے انہیں بردبار، عالم، نیک اور پاکیزہ بنایا۔ وہ نماز، روزہ، سجدہ، تسبیح اور تہلیل کے ذریعے اللہ کی عبادت کرتے ہیں، اور نمازیں قائم کرتے ہیں، حج کرتے ہیں، اور روزے رکھتے ہیں۔

Translation

Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Abdullah, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Al Mufazzal, from Jabir Bin Yazeed who said, ‘Abu Ja’far^asws said to me: ‘O Jabir! Allah^azwj, the first of what He^azwj Created was the creation of Muhammad^saww and his^saww family, the guides, the Guided. So they^asws were resemblances of ‘نُورٍ’ Light in front of Allah^azwj’. I said, ‘And what are the resemblances?’ He^asws said: ‘ظِلُّ النُّورِ’ ‘Shadows of light, bodies of light without spirits, and they^asws were Supported by one spirit, and it is the Holy Spirit. So by it, he^saww and his^saww family^asws worshipped Allah^azwj, and it was for that that He^azwj Created them^asws as forbearing scholars, righteous, elites worshipping Allah^azwj with the <span class="iTxt">Salat</span>, and the <span class="iTxt">Sawm</span> (Fasts), and the <span class="iTxt">Sujood</span> (Prostrations), and the <span class="iTxt">Tasbeeh</span> (Glorifications), and the extollation of Oneness, and they^asws are praying <span class="iTxt">Salat</span>, and they^asws are performing Hajj, and they^asws are Fasting’.
