كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) أَنَا وَ أَبِي فَأُتِيَ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ خَزَفٍ فِيهِ مَاءٌ فَشَرِبَ وَ هُوَ قَائِمٌ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَهُ أَبِي فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ وَ هُوَ قَائِمٌ ثُمَّ نَاوَلَنِيهِ فَشَرِبْتُ مِنْهُ وَ أَنَا قَائِمٌ .

ہمارے اصحاب کی ایک جماعت سے، احمد بن ابی عبداللہ سے، ان کے والد سے، ان کے دادا سے، عبداللہ بن مغیرہ سے، عمرو بن ابی المقدام سے کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں ابوجعفر علیہ السلام کے پاس تھا، میں اور میرے والد، تو ایک مٹی کا پیالہ لایا گیا جس میں پانی تھا۔ انہوں نے (ع) کھڑے ہو کر پیا، پھر میرے والد کو دیا، انہوں نے اس سے کھڑے ہو کر پیا۔ پھر مجھے دیا، تو میں نے اس سے کھڑے ہو کر پیا۔
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Abu Abdullah, from his father, from his grandfather, from Abdullah Bin Al Mugheira, from Amro Bin Abu Al Miqdam who said, ‘I was in the presence of Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, I and my father, so they came to us with a clay vessel in which was water. So he<sup>asws</sup> drank standing, then gave it to my father. So he drank from it, and he was standing. Then he gave it to me, so I drank from it, and I was standing’.
