قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) كَمْ بَيْنَكُمْ وَ بَيْنَ الْفُرَاتِ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ فَقَالَ لَوْ كُنْتُ عِنْدَهُ لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ آتِيَهُ طَرَفَيِ النَّهَارِ .

محمد بن یحیی نے علی بن حسین سے رفعہ کے ساتھ روایت کی کہ: ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'تمہارے اور فرات کے درمیان کتنا فاصلہ ہے؟' تو میں نے انہیں بتایا۔ آپ نے فرمایا: 'اگر میں اس کے پاس ہوتا تو دن کے دونوں کناروں پر اس کے پاس آنا پسند کرتا۔'
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ali Bin Al Husayn, raising it, said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘How much (distance) is there between you and the Euphrates?’ So I informed him<sup>asws</sup>. So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘If I<sup>asws</sup> was in its presence, I<sup>asws</sup> would have loved to go to it at two ends of the day’.
