أَمَا إِنَّ أَهْلَ الْكُوفَةِ لَوْ حَنَّكُوا أَوْلَادَهُمْ بِمَاءِ الْفُرَاتِ لَكَانُوا شِيعَةً لَنَا .

الحسین بن محمد اور محمد بن یحیی نے مل کر احمد بن اسحاق سے، انہوں نے سعدان سے، انہوں نے متعدد افراد سے روایت کی جنہوں نے اسے امیر المومنین علیہ السلام تک مرفوع کیا کہ آپ نے فرمایا: سنو، اہل کوفہ اگر اپنے بچوں کو فرات کے پانی سے تحنیک کرتے، تو وہ ہمارے شیعہ ہوتے۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, and Muhammad Bin Yahya, altogether from Ahmad Bin Is’haq, from Sa’dan, from someone else, (It has been narrated) raising it to Amir Al-Momineen<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘As for the people of Al-Kufa, had they welcomed their children (newborns) with the water of the Euphrates, they would have been our<sup>asws</sup> Shiah’.
