علی بن ابراہیم، ان کے والد سے، احمد بن محمد بن ابی نصر سے، رفاعہ سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: عبدالمطلب کے لیے کعبہ کے صحن میں بچھونا بچھایا جاتا تھا؛ یہ اس کے سوا کسی اور کے لیے نہیں بچھایا جاتا تھا۔ اس کے بیٹے اس کے سرہانے کھڑے رہتے اور جو کوئی اس کے قریب آتا اسے دور کر دیتے۔ پھر اللہ کے رسول صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم تشریف لائے، اس حال میں کہ وہ ایک چھوٹے بچے تھے جو ابھی چلنا شروع ہی کر رہے تھے، یہاں تک کہ وہ ان کی رانوں پر بیٹھ گئے۔ ان میں سے ایک نے انہیں وہاں سے ہٹانے کے لیے ان کی طرف ہاتھ بڑھایا، تو عبدالمطلب نے اس سے کہا: 'میرے بیٹے کو چھوڑ دو، کیونکہ فرشتہ اس کے پاس آ چکا ہے۔'

Translation

Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Abu Nasr, from Rifa’at, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws having said: ‘Abdul Muttalib^as^ws was such that they used to furnish for him^as in the courtyard of the Kabah. It was not furnished for anyone apart from him^as^ws. And it was so that his^as^ws sons would be standing by his^as^ws head protecting him^as^ws from the ones who approached him^as^ws. So Rasool-Allah^saww came over, and he^saww was a child who had begun to walk, until he^saww came to be upon his^as^ws thigh. So one of them gestured towards him^saww in order to prevent him^saww from him^asws, but Abdul Muttalib^asws said to him: ‘Leave my^asws son^saww, for an Angel has come with him^saww’ (as a servant).
