مَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ نَبِيّاً قَطُّ إِلَّا وَ فِي عِلْمِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى أَنَّهُ إِذَا أَكْمَلَ لَهُ دِينَهُ كَانَ فِيهِ تَحْرِيمُ الْخَمْرِ وَ لَمْ تَزَلِ الْخَمْرُ حَرَاماً إِنَّمَا الدِّينُ يُحَوَّلُ مِنْ خَصْلَةٍ إِلَى أُخْرَى وَ لَوْ كَانَ ذَلِكَ جُمْلَةً قُطِعَ بِهِمْ دُونَ الدِّينِ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, form Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Fazalat Bin Ayoub, from Musa Bin Bakr, from Zurara, Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> has said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic did not Send a Prophet<sup>as</sup> at all except it was in the Knowledge of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Blessed and High that when He<sup>azwj</sup> Completes His<sup>azwj</sup> Religion for him<sup>as</sup>, among it would be the Prohibition of the wine, and the wine will never cease to be unlawful. But rather, the Religion changes from one characteristic to another, and had that (change) been in its entirety, they (people) would have been cut-off to be without the Religion’.
