إِنَّ مَثَلَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ مَثَلُ أَصْحَابِ الْكَهْفِ أَسَرُّوا الْإِيمَانَ وَ أَظْهَرُوا الشِّرْكَ فَآتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ أَجْرَهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ .

علی بن ابراہیم، اپنے والد سے، ابن ابی عمیر سے، ہشام بن سالم سے، ابو عبداللہ علیہ السلام سے، جنہوں نے فرمایا: بے شک ابو طالب کی مثال اصحابِ کہف کی مثال کی مانند ہے: انہوں نے ایمان کو چھپایا اور ظاہراً شرک کا اظہار کیا، تو اللہ نے انہیں ان کا اجر دو بار عطا فرمایا۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Hisham Bin Salim, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘An example of Abu Talib<sup>as</sup><sup>ws</sup> is a example of the Companions of the Cave (As’haab Al-Kahf). They were secretive of the Eman and they manifested the polytheism, so Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Gave them the Recompense twice’.
