قِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّهُمْ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّ أَبَا طَالِبٍ كَانَ كَافِراً فَقَالَ كَذَبُوا كَيْفَ يَكُونُ كَافِراً وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ أَ لَمْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنَّا وَجَدْنَا مُحَمَّداً نَبِيّاً كَمُوسَى خُطَّ فِي أَوَّلِ الْكُتُبِ . وَ فِي حَدِيثٍ آخَرَ كَيْفَ يَكُونُ أَبُو طَالِبٍ كَافِراً وَ هُوَ يَقُولُ . لَقَدْ عَلِمُوا أَنَّ ابْنَنَا لَا مُكَذَّبٌ لَدَيْنَا وَ لَا يَعْبَأُ بِقِيلِ الْأَبَاطِلِوَ أَبْيَضُ يُسْتَسْقَى الْغَمَامُ بِوَجْهِهِ ثِمَالُ الْيَتَامَى عِصْمَةٌ لِلْأَرَامِلِ .

الحسین بن محمد اور محمد بن یحییٰ، احمد بن اسحاق سے، وہ بکر بن محمد الازدی سے، وہ اسحاق بن جعفر سے، وہ اپنے والد علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: اس سے کہا گیا: "وہ دعویٰ کرتے ہیں کہ ابو طالب کافر تھے۔" تو اس نے کہا: "انہوں نے جھوٹ کہا۔ وہ کافر کیسے ہو سکتے تھے جبکہ وہ یہ کہہ رہے تھے:" "کیا تم نہیں جانتے کہ ہم نے محمد صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم کو موسیٰ عليه السلام کی طرح ایک نبی پایا، جو پہلی کتابوں میں لکھا ہوا تھا؟" اور ایک اور حدیث میں: "ابو طالب کافر کیسے ہو سکتے تھے جبکہ وہ یہ کہہ رہے تھے:" وہ یقیناً جانتے ہیں کہ ہمارا بیٹا ہمارے نزدیک جھوٹا نہیں سمجھا جاتا، اور نہ ہی اس کے خلاف باطل باتوں کی پروا کی جاتی ہے؛ اور وہ روشن چہرہ ہے، جس کے چہرے کے وسیلے سے بادلوں سے بارش مانگی جاتی ہے، یتیموں کا سہارا، بیواؤں کی پناہ ہے۔
Translation
Al Husayn Bin Muhammad and Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Is’haq, from Bakr Bin Muhammad Al Azady, (It has been narrated) from Is’haq son of Ja’far<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, from his father<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, said, ‘It was said to him<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>, ‘They (people) are claiming that Abu Talib<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup><sup style="font-weight: normal">ws</sup> was a disbeliever’. So he<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup><sup style="font-weight: normal">ws</sup> said: ‘They are lying! How can he<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup><sup style="font-weight: normal">ws</sup> happen to be a disbeliever and he<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup><sup style="font-weight: normal">ws</sup> was saying: ‘Are you not knowing that we<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup><sup style="font-weight: normal">ws</sup> found Muhammad<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup> as a Prophet<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup><sup style="font-weight: normal">ws</sup> like Musa<sup style="font-weight: normal">as</sup>, written in the former Books?’. And in another Hadeeth – ‘How can Abu Talib<sup>as</sup><sup>ws</sup> happen to be a disbeliever and he<sup>as</sup><sup>ws</sup> was saying (in prose): ‘They (people) have know that our<sup>as</sup><sup>ws</sup> son<sup>saww</sup> neither lies from us<sup>asws</sup>, nor can he<sup>saww</sup> be faulted with the words of falsehood, and he<sup>saww</sup> is white, the clouds quench by his<sup>saww</sup> face, a protector of the orphans and chastity of the widows’.
