إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ لَمْ يُحَرِّمِ الْخَمْرَ لِاسْمِهَا وَ لَكِنَّهُ حَرَّمَهَا لِعَاقِبَتِهَا فَمَا كَانَ عَاقِبَتُهُ عَاقِبَةَ الْخَمْرِ فَهُوَ خَمْرٌ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Bin Yaqteen, from his brother Al Husayn Bin Ali Bin Yaqteen, from his father Ali Bin Yaqteen, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan Al-Maazy<sup>asws</sup> (7th Imam<sup>asws</sup>) having said: ‘Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic did not Prohibit the wine for its name, but He<sup>azwj</sup> Prohibited it due to its consequences. So whatever, if its consequences are the consequences of the wine, so it is (classified as) wine’.
