سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) لِمَ حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ الْخَمْرَ فَقَالَ حَرَّمَهَا لِفِعْلِهَا وَ فَسَادِهَا .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muawiya Bin Hukeym, from Abu Malik Al Hazramy, from Abu Al Jaroud who said, ‘I asked Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, ‘Why did Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Prohibit the wine?’ So he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He<sup>azwj</sup> Prohibited it due to its effects and its spoiling’.
