كُنْتُ مَعَ يُونُسَ بِبَغْدَادَ فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أَمْشِي مَعَهُ فِي السُّوقِ إِذْ فَتَحَ صَاحِبُ الْفُقَّاعِ فُقَّاعَهُ فَأَصَابَ ثَوْبَ يُونُسَ فَرَأَيْتُهُ قَدِ اغْتَمَّ لِذَلِكَ حَتَّى زَالَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَ لَا تُصَلِّي يَا أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ فَقَالَ لَيْسَ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أُصَلِّيَ حَتَّى أَرْجِعَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ فَأَغْسِلَ هَذَا الْخَمْرَ مِنْ ثَوْبِي قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ هَذَا رَأْيُكَ أَوْ شَيْءٌ تَرْوِيهِ فَقَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي هِشَامُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنِ الْفُقَّاعِ فَقَالَ لَا تَشْرَبْهُ فَإِنَّهُ خَمْرٌ مَجْهُولٌ فَإِذَا أَصَابَ ثَوْبَكَ فَاغْسِلْهُ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from one of our companions, from the one who mentioned it, from Abu Jameela Al Basry who said, ‘I was with Yunus at Baghdad, so whilst I was walking with him in the market, when the owner of the fermented drinks opened his fermented drink, so it hit the clothes of Yunus. So I saw him being gloomy due to that until the sun went down. So I said to him, ‘Will you not be Praying, O Abu Muhammad?’ So he said, ‘I do not want to Pray until I return to the house, so I wash off this wine from my clothes’. So I said to him, ‘This is your view or is it something you are reporting?’ So he said, ‘Hisham Bin Al-Hakam informed me that he asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about the fermented drinks, so he<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘Do not drink it, for it is an unknown wine. So if it were to hit your clothes, so wash it’.
