سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ كَانَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) يَلْبَسُ فِي الشِّتَاءِ الْخَزَّ وَ الْمِطْرَفَ الْخَزَّ وَ الْقَلَنْسُوَةَ الْخَزَّ فَيَشْتُو فِيهِ وَ يَبِيعُ الْمِطْرَفَ فِي الصَّيْفِ وَ يَتَصَدَّقُ بِثَمَنِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ مَنْ حَرَّمَ زِينَةَ اللَّهِ الَّتِي أَخْرَجَ لِعِبادِهِ وَ الطَّيِّباتِ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ .

ہمارے بہت سے اصحاب نے سہل بن زیاد سے، انہوں نے الحسن بن علی الوشاء سے، انہوں نے ابو الحسن الرضا علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: میں نے انہیں فرماتے سنا: علی بن الحسین علیہ السلام سردیوں میں خز پہنتے تھے، اور خز کا مطرف اور خز کی قلنسوہ۔ وہ سردیاں اس میں گزارتے، اور گرمیوں میں مطرف بیچ دیتے اور اس کی قیمت صدقہ کر دیتے۔ پھر فرماتے: [قرآن ۷:۳۲] "کہو: کس نے حرام کیا اللہ کی زینت کو جو اس نے اپنے بندوں کے لیے نکالی ہے اور پاک روزی کو؟"
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Al Hassan Bin Ali Al Washa, (It has been narrated) from Abu Al-Hassan Al-Reza<sup>asws</sup>, said, ‘I heard him<sup>asws</sup> saying: ‘Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> used to wear <span class="iTxt">Al-Khazz</span> in the winter, and <span class="iTxt">Al-Khazz</span> shawl, and a hood of <span class="iTxt">Al-Khazz</span>. So he<sup>asws</sup> would be wearing it in the winter, and sell the shawl in the summer and give charity with its price. Then he<sup>asws</sup> was saying <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:7#h32"><a href="/books/quran:7#h32">[7:32]</a></a> Say: Who has prohibited the adornments of Allah which He has Brought forth for His servants and the good provisions?</span>’.
