قُبِضَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْبَاقِرُ وَ هُوَ ابْنُ سَبْعٍ وَ خَمْسِينَ سَنَةً فِي عَامِ أَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَ مِائَةٍ عَاشَ بَعْدَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ ( عليه السلام ) تِسْعَ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَ شَهْرَيْنِ .

سعد بن عبد اللہ اور الحمیری، دونوں مل کر، ابراہیم بن مہزیار سے، وہ اپنے بھائی علی بن مہزیار سے، وہ الحسن بن سعید سے، وہ محمد بن سنان سے، وہ ابن مسکان سے، وہ ابو بصیر سے، وہ ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جنہوں نے فرمایا: محمد بن علی الباقر کا انتقال اس وقت ہوا جب وہ ستاون برس کے تھے، سن ایک سو چودہ میں۔ وہ علی بن الحسین علیہ السلام کے بعد انیس سال اور دو ماہ تک زندہ رہے۔
Translation
Sa’d Bin Abdullah and Al Himeyri, altogether from Ibrahim Bin Mahziyar, from his brother Ali Bin Mahziyar, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Muhammad Bin Sinan, from Ibn Muskan, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Muhammad<sup>asws</sup> Bin Ali Al-Baqir<sup>asws</sup> passed away and he<sup>asws</sup> was fifty seven years old, during the year one hundred and twenty four. He<sup>asws</sup> lived after Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Al-Husayn<sup>asws</sup> for nineteen years and two months’.
