جو میں سمجھتا ہوں ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے روایت ہے کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ابو ذر رضی اللہ عنہ کو ربذہ میں ایک گدھے کو پانی پلاتے دیکھا گیا۔ تو بعض لوگوں نے ان سے کہا: اے ابو ذر! کیا آپ کے پاس کوئی نہیں جو آپ کی طرف سے گدھے کو پانی پلائے؟ تو انہوں نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ سے سنا، آپ فرما رہے تھے: کوئی جانور ایسا نہیں جو ہر صبح اللہ سے نہ مانگتا ہو: اے اللہ! مجھے ایک نیک مالک عطا فرما جو مجھے چارہ سے سیر کرے، پانی سے سیراب کرے، اور میری طاقت سے زیادہ مجھ پر بوجھ نہ ڈالے۔ پس میں پسند کرتا ہوں کہ میں خود اسے پانی پلاؤں۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Fazzal, from Abu Al Magra, from Suleyman Bin Khalid who said regarding what I think is, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah^asws having said: ‘Abu Zarr^ra was seen watering a donkey at Al-Rabza, so one of the people said to him^ra, ‘Is there not for you^as, O Abu Zarr^ra, one who would water the donkey for you^as?’ So he^as said: ‘I^ra heard Rasool-Allah^saww saying: ‘There is none from the animals except that it asks Allah^azwj every morning, ‘O Allah^azwj! Grant me a righteous owner who would satiate me from the feed, and would quench me from the water, and would not encumber me above my strength’. Therefore I^ra love to water it myself^ra’.
