میں ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا جبکہ آپ الحیرہ میں قیام فرما تھے۔ آپ نے مجھ سے پوچھا: تیرا کام کیا ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا: جانوروں کا تاجر ہوں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: میرے لیے ایک فضحاء خچر تلاش کرو۔ میں نے عرض کیا: جعلت فداک! فضحاء کیا ہوتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: سیاہی مائل، سفید پیٹ، سفید رانیں، سفید ہونٹوں والا۔ راوی کہتا ہے: تو میں نے کہا: اللہ کی قسم! میں نے ایسی صفت کبھی نہیں دیکھی۔ پھر میں آپ کے پاس سے واپس ہوا، اور تھوڑی دیر بعد خندق میں داخل ہوا تو اچانک میں نے دیکھا کہ ایک غلام اسی صفت کے خچر پر سوار ہے۔ میں نے اس غلام سے پوچھا: یہ خچر کس کا ہے؟ اس نے کہا: میرے مالک کا۔ میں نے کہا: کیا وہ بیچے گا؟ اس نے کہا: نہیں جانتا۔ تو میں اس کے پیچھے چلا یہاں تک کہ اس کے مالک کے پاس پہنچا اور اسے خرید لیا اور آپ کے پاس لے آیا۔ تو آپ نے فرمایا: یہ وہی صفت ہے جو میں چاہتا تھا۔ میں نے عرض کیا: جعلت فداک! اللہ سے میرے لیے دعا کریں۔ آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ تیرا مال اور تیری اولاد بڑھائے۔ راوی کہتا ہے: چنانچہ میں مال اور اولاد میں کوفہ والوں میں سب سے زیادہ بن گیا۔

Translation

Al Husayn Bin Muhammad, from Moala Bin Muhammad, from Al Washa, from Tarkhan Al Nakhas who said, ‘I passed by Abu Abdullah^asws and he^asws had lodged at Al-Hira, so he^asws said to me: ‘What is your occupation?’ I said, ‘Animal trader’. So he^asws said: ‘Find a <span class="iTxt">Fazaah </span>mule for me’. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you^asws! And what is <span class="iTxt">Al-Fazaah</span>?’ He^asws said: ‘Plain, of white belly, white thighs, white mouth’. I said, ‘By Allah^azwj! I have not seen the likes of this description’. So I returned from his^asws presence, so after a while I entered the ditch, and there was a slave who had sat upon a mule of this description. So I asked the slave, ‘For whom is this mule?’ So he said, ‘For my master’. I said, ‘Would he sell it’. He said, ‘I do not know’. So I followed him until I came up to his master. So I bought it from him, and I came over with it to him^asws(the Imam^asws). So he^asws said: ‘This is the description which I^asws wanted’. I said, ‘May I be sacrificed for you^asws! Supplicate to Allah^azwj for me’. So he^asws said: ‘May Allah^azwj Amplify your wealth and your children’. He (the narrator) said, ‘So I became to be of the most abundant of the people of Al-Kufa in wealth and children’.
