قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) لِعَمَّتِهِ مَا يَمْنَعُكِ أَنْ تَتَّخِذِي فِي بَيْتِكِ بَرَكَةً قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَ مَا الْبَرَكَةُ قَالَ شَاةٌ تُحْلَبُ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَانَ فِي دَارِهِ شَاةٌ تُحْلَبُ أَوْ نَعْجَةٌ أَوْ بَقَرَةٌ تُحْلَبُ فَبَرَكَاتٌ كُلُّهُنَّ .

اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ) نے اپنی پھوپھی سے فرمایا: 'کیا چیز تمہیں اپنے گھر میں برکت رکھنے سے روکتی ہے؟' انہوں نے کہا: 'یا رسول اللہ، برکت کیا ہے؟' آپؐ نے فرمایا: 'ایک بکری جو دودھ دیتی ہو۔ بیشک جس کے گھر میں دودھ دینے والی بکری ہو، یا دنبہ ہو، یا گائے ہو، تو یہ سب برکتیں ہیں۔'
Translation
A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad Bin Khalid, form Ibn Abu Najran, from Abu Jameela, from Jabir, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said to his<sup>saww</sup> paternal aunt: ‘What prevents you from taking Blessings to be in your house?’ She said, ‘O Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup>! And what is the Blessing?’ He<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘A sheep you can milk, for it is such that the one who has a sheep in his house to milk, or an ewe, or a cow to milk, so these are Blessings, all of them’.
