قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) الْكِلَابُ مِنْ ضَعَفَةِ الْجِنِّ فَإِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الطَّعَامَ وَ شَيْءٌ مِنْهَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَلْيُطْعِمْهُ أَوْ لِيَطْرُدْهُ فَإِنَّ لَهَا أَنْفُسَ سَوْءٍ .
Translation
A number of our companions, from Sahl Bin Ziyad, from Muhammad Bin Al Hassan Bin Shamoun, from Abdullah Bin Abdul Rahman, from Misma’a, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> said: ‘The dogs are from the weak ones of the Jinn. So when one of you is eating the meal, and there is something from it in front of him, so let him feed it or let him repel it, for it has an evil self for it’.
