قُبِضَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُوسَى ( عليه السلام ) وَ هُوَ ابْنُ تِسْعٍ وَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً وَ أَشْهُرٍ فِي عَامِ اثْنَيْنِ وَ مِائَتَيْنِ عَاشَ بَعْدَ مُوسَى بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ عِشْرِينَ سَنَةً إِلَّا شَهْرَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثَةً .

سعد بن عبد اللہ اور عبد اللہ بن جعفر، دونوں مل کر، ابراہیم بن مہزیار سے، ان کے بھائی علی بن مہزیار سے، الحسین بن سعید سے، محمد بن سنان سے، جنہوں نے کہا: 'علی بن موسی علیہ السلام کا انتقال اس وقت ہوا جب آپ کی عمر انچاس سال اور کچھ مہینے تھی، سن دو سو دو میں۔ آپ نے موسیٰ بن جعفر کے بعد بیس سال زندگی گزاری، سوائے دو مہینے یا تین کے۔
Translation
Sa’d Bin Abdullah and Abdullah Bin Ja’far, altogether from Ibrahim Bin Mahziyar, from his brother Ali Bin Mahziyar, from Al Husayn Bin Saeed, from Muhammad Bin Sinan who said, ‘Ali<sup>asws</sup> Bin Musa<sup>asws</sup> passed away and he<sup>asws</sup> was forty-nine years and one month old, in the year two hundred and two, and he<sup>asws</sup> lived after Musa<sup>asws</sup> Bin Ja’far<sup>asws</sup> for twenty years except two months or three’.
