سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَقَرَّ لِوَارِثٍ لَهُ وَ هُوَ مَرِيضٌ بِدَيْنٍ عَلَيْهِ قَالَ يَجُوزُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا أَقَرَّ بِهِ دُونَ الثُّلُثِ .
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ibn Mahboub, from Hisham Bin Salim, from Ismail Bin Jabir who said, ‘I asked Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> about a man who acknowledge to an inheritor of his, and he was ill, with a debt being upon him. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It is allowed for him (to pay off), when he acknowledge with it, besides the third’.
