ہمارے بعض اصحاب، احمد بن محمد سے، الحجاج اور عمرو بن عثمان سے، ایک ایسے شخص سے جو اہلِ مدینہ میں سے تھا، مطرفی سے روایت کرتے ہیں، جس نے کہا: ابو الحسن الرضا علیہ السلام وفات پا گئے، اور میرے ذمے ان کے چار ہزار درہم تھے۔ تو میں نے اپنے دل میں کہا: “میرا مال گیا۔” پھر ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے مجھے پیغام بھیجا: “کل جب آئے تو میرے پاس آنا، اور اپنے ساتھ ایک ترازو اور باٹ لے آنا۔” چنانچہ میں ابو جعفر علیہ السلام کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا، تو انہوں نے مجھ سے فرمایا: “ابو الحسن وفات پا گئے ہیں، اور ان کے ذمے تمہارے چار ہزار درہم ہیں۔” میں نے کہا: “جی ہاں۔” پھر انہوں نے اپنے نیچے بچھا ہوا جائے نماز اٹھایا، تو اس کے نیچے دینار تھے، چنانچہ انہوں نے وہ مجھے دے دیے۔

Translation

A number of our companions, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Al Hajjal and Amro Bin usman, from a man from the peple of Al medina, from Al Mutarrafy who said, ‘Abu Al-Hassan Al-Reza^asws passed away and for me, upon him^asws, were four thousand Dirham. So I said within myself, ‘My wealth has gone!’. So Abu Ja’far^asws (9^th Imam^asws) sent a message to me: ‘When it is the morning, come to me^asws, and let there happen to be a scale with you and weights’. So I went over to Abu Ja’far^asws, and he^asws said to me: ‘Abu Al-Hassan^asws has passed away, and for you, upon him^asws, are four thousand Dirhams’. So I said, ‘Yes’. So he^asws raised the prayer mat which was beneath him, and there were Dirans under it, so he^asws handed these over to me’.
