علی بن محمد اور محمد بن ابی عبداللہ نے اسحاق بن محمد النخعی سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: سفیان بن محمد الضبعی نے مجھے حدیث بیان کی، کہتے ہوئے: میں نے ابو محمد علیہ السلام کو لکھا، ان سے الولیجہ کے بارے میں پوچھتے ہوئے، اور یہ اللہ، بلند و برتر، کا قول ہے: “اور انہوں نے اللہ کے سوا، نہ اس کے رسول صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم، اور نہ مومنوں کے سوا، کسی الولیجہ کو اختیار نہیں کیا۔” میں نے اپنے دل میں کہا: “یہ کتاب میں نہیں—تمہارا خیال ہے یہاں مومن کون ہیں؟” پھر جواب آیا: “الولیجہ وہ ہے جو ولی الامر کے بجائے قائم کیا جائے۔ اور تمہاری جان نے تم سے اس جگہ مومنوں کے بارے میں بات کی ہے؛ وہ ائمہ عليهم السلام ہیں جو اللہ پر امان دیتے ہیں، پس وہ ان کی ضمانت کو نافذ فرما دیتا ہے۔”

Translation

Ali Bin Muhammad and Muhammad Bin Abu Abdullah, from Is’haq Bin Muhammad Al Makhai’e who said, ‘Sufyan Bin Muhammad Al Zubayyi narrated to me saying, ‘I wrote to Abu Muhammad^asws (11^th Imam^asws) asking him^asws about the confidant, and these are the Words of Allah^azwj the Exalted <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:9#h16"><a href="/books/quran:9#h16">[9:16]</a></a> and do not take to any one besides Allah and His Rasool and the Believers as a confidant</span>, and I said to myself, ‘It is not in the Book. Where can you see a Believer over here?’ So the answer came back: ‘The confidant – is the one who is in the place of a Guardian^asws. And I^asws narrate to you about the Believers who are in this position, so they^asws are the Imams^asws who are believing in Allah^azwj, so He^azwj Authorises their^asws safety’.
