كَانَ عَلِيٌّ ( عليه السلام ) يَجْلِدُ الْحُرَّ وَ الْعَبْدَ وَ الْيَهُودِيَّ وَ النَّصْرَانِيَّ فِي الْخَمْرِ ثَمَانِينَ .
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Abu Al Magra, from Abu Baseer, (It has been narrated) from Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> having said: ‘Ali<sup>asws</sup> used to whipe the free, and the slave, and the Jew, and the Christian, regarding the wine, eighty (lashes)’.
