قَالَ لِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وُجِدَ فِي ذُؤَابَةِ سَيْفِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) صَحِيفَةٌ فَإِذَا فِيهَا بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ إِنَّ أَعْتَى النَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ قَتَلَ غَيْرَ قَاتِلِهِ وَ الضَّارِبُ غَيْرَ ضَارِبِهِ وَ مَنْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ فَهُوَ كَافِرٌ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مَنْ أَحْدَثَ حَدَثاً أَوْ آوَى مُحْدِثاً لَمْ يَقْبَلِ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ صَرْفاً وَ لَا عَدْلًا قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ لِي أَ تَدْرِي مَا يَعْنِي مَنْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ قُلْتُ مَا يَعْنِي بِهِ قَالَ يَعْنِي أَهْلَ الدِّينِ . وَ الصَّرْفُ التَّوْبَةُ فِي قَوْلِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ( عليه السلام ) وَ الْعَدْلُ الْفِدَاءُ فِي قَوْلِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) .

محمد بن یحییٰ نے احمد بن محمد سے، انہوں نے علی بن الحکم سے، انہوں نے ابان سے، انہوں نے ابو اسحاق ابراہیم الصیقل سے روایت کی کہ انہوں نے کہا: مجھ سے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ کی تلوار کے قبضے میں ایک صحیفہ ملا، اس میں لکھا تھا: بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم۔ بے شک قیامت کے دن اللہ عزّ وجلّ کے نزدیک سب سے زیادہ سرکش وہ ہے جو اپنے قاتل کے علاوہ کسی اور کو قتل کرے، اور وہ جو اپنے کو مارنے والے کے علاوہ کسی اور کو مارے، اور جو اپنے موالیوں کے علاوہ کسی اور سے دوستی کرے، تو وہ اس چیز کا کافر ہے جو اللہ نے محمد پر نازل کی۔ اور جو کوئی کوئی واقعہ ایجاد کرے یا کسی مجرم کو پناہ دے، تو اللہ عزّ وجلّ قیامت کے دن اس سے نہ کوئی صرف قبول کرے گا اور نہ کوئی عدل۔ راوی نے کہا: پھر آپ نے مجھ سے فرمایا: 'کیا تم جانتے ہو کہ جو اپنے موالیوں کے علاوہ کسی اور سے دوستی کرے اس سے کیا مراد ہے؟' میں نے کہا: 'اس سے کیا مراد ہے؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'اس سے اہلِ دین مراد ہے۔' اور ابو جعفر علیہ السلام کے قول میں الصرف سے توبہ مراد ہے، اور ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام کے قول میں العدل سے فدیہ مراد ہے۔
Translation
Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Ahmad Bin Muhammad, from Ali Bin Al Hakam, from Aban, from Abu Is’haq Ibrahim Al Sayqal who said, ‘Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘A parchment was found to be in a handle of a sword of Rasool-Allah<sup>saww</sup> in which was (inscribed): ‘In the Name of Allah<sup>azwj</sup> the Beneficent, the Merciful. The most troublesome of the people to Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic on the Day of Judgement would be the one who killed someone other than his (attempted) killer, and the striker of someone other than the one who struck him, and the one who befriended other than his friends, so he is a disbeliever with what Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Revealed upon Muhammad<sup>saww</sup>. And the one who initiates an event (killing), or shelters an initiator, Allah<sup>azwj</sup> Mighty and Majestic would not Accept from him on the Day of Judgement, neither any exchange nor a ransom’. (He - the narrator) said, ‘Then he<sup>asws</sup> said to me: ‘Do you know what is the meaning of the who befriends other than his friends?’ I said, ‘What is the meaning of it?’ He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘It means the people of the Religion’. And the ‘exchange’ is the repentance in the words of Abu Ja’far<sup>asws</sup>, and the ‘ransom’ is the sacrifice in the words of Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>’.
