قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) قَوْلَ اللَّهِ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ الَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ الْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُ قَالَ هُوَ الرَّجُلُ يَسْمَعُ الْحَدِيثَ فَيُحَدِّثُ بِهِ كَمَا سَمِعَهُ لَا يَزِيدُ فِيهِ وَ لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْهُ .

میں نے ابو عبد اللہ علیہ السلام سے اللہ کے اس فرمان کے بارے میں پوچھا جس کی ثنا بلند ہے: 'جو لوگ غور سے کلام کو سنتے ہیں پھر اس کے بہترین کی پیروی کرتے ہیں' [39:18]۔ آپ نے فرمایا: یہ وہ شخص ہے جو حدیث سنتا ہے پھر اسے ویسے ہی بیان کرتا ہے جیسے اس نے سنا — نہ اس میں زیادہ کرتا ہے اور نہ اس میں کمی کرتا ہے۔
Translation
Ali Bin Ibrahim, from his father, from Ibn Abu Umeyr, from Mansour Bin Yunus, from Abu Baseer who said, ‘I said to Abu Abdullah<sup>asws</sup>, ‘The Words of Allah<sup>azwj</sup>, Majestic is His<sup>azwj</sup> Laudation <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:39#h18"><a href="/books/quran:39#h18">[39:18]</a></a> Those who listen intently to the Words, then follow the best of it</span>. He<sup>asws</sup> said: ‘He is the man who hears the Hadeeth, so he narrates with it just as he had heard it, neither increasing in it nor reducing from it’.
