محمد بن یحییٰ نے، محمد بن الحسین سے، انہوں نے محمد بن اسماعیل سے، انہوں نے صالح بن عقبہ سے، انہوں نے عبد اللہ بن محمد الجعفی اور عقبہ دونوں نے مل کر، ابو جعفر علیہ السلام سے روایت کی کہ آپ نے فرمایا: بے شک اللہ عز و جل نے مخلوقات کو پیدا کیا۔ پس جن سے وہ محبت کرتا تھا انہیں اس چیز سے بنایا جس سے وہ محبت کرتا تھا، اور وہ یہ تھا کہ انہیں جنت کی مٹی سے بنایا؛ اور جن سے وہ نفرت کرتا تھا انہیں اس چیز سے بنایا جس سے وہ نفرت کرتا تھا، اور وہ یہ تھا کہ انہیں جہنم کی مٹی سے بنایا۔ پھر انہیں سائوں میں بھیجا۔ تو میں نے پوچھا: 'سائے کیا ہیں؟' آپ نے فرمایا: 'کیا تم نے دھوپ میں اپنا سایہ نہیں دیکھا — وہ ایک چیز ہے، پھر بھی کوئی حقیقی چیز نہیں؟' پھر اللہ نے ان میں سے انبیاء کو بھیجا اور انہوں نے انہیں اللہ عز و جل کے اقرار کی طرف بلایا — اور یہ اللہ عز و جل کا فرمان ہے: ''اور اگر تم ان سے پوچھو کہ انہیں کس نے پیدا کیا تو وہ یقیناً کہیں گے اللہ نے۔'' [43:87] پھر انہوں نے انہیں انبیاء کے اقرار کی طرف بلایا تو ان میں سے بعض نے اقرار کیا اور بعض نے انکار کیا۔ پھر انہوں نے انہیں ہماری ولایت کی طرف بلایا تو خدا کی قسم جس نے محبت کی اس نے اقرار کیا اور جس نے نفرت کی اس نے انکار کیا۔ اور یہ اللہ کا فرمان ہے: ''وہ اس پر ایمان نہیں لائیں گے جس کو انہوں نے پہلے جھٹلایا تھا۔'' [10:74] پھر ابو جعفر علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: 'تکذیب اسی وقت سے تھی۔'

Translation

Muhammad Bin Yahya, from Muhammad Bin Al Husayn, from Muhammad Bin Ismail, from Salih Bin Uqba, from Abdullah Bin Muhammad Al Juf’y, and Uqba altogether, (It has been narrated) from Abu Ja’far^asws having said: ‘Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic Created the creatures. So He^azwj Created the ones He^azwj Loved from what He^azwj Loved, and whatever He^azwj Loved He^azwj, Created it from the clay of the Paradise; and He^azwj Created the ones He^azwj Hated from what He^azwj Hated, and whatever He^azwj Hated, Created it from the clay of the Fire. Then He^azwj Sent them into the shadows’. So I said, ‘And which thing is the shadow?’ So he^asws said: ‘Do you not see your own shadow in the sunshine? It is something, but is not a thing’. Then He^azwj Sent Prophets^as from them, and they^as invited them to the acknowledgment in Allah^azwj Mighty and Majestic, and these are the Words of the Mighty and Majestic <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:43#h87"><a href="/books/quran:43#h87">[43:87]</a></a> And if you should ask them who created them, they would certainly say: Allah</span>. Then He^azwj Invited them to the acknowledgement in the Prophets^as. So some of them acknowledged, and some denied. Then He^azwj Invited them to our^asws <span class="iTxt">Wilayah</span>, So he acknowledge in it, By Allah^azwj, the one whom He^azwj Loved, and he denied it, the one whom He^azwj Hated, and these are His^azwj Words <span class="ibTxt"><a href="/#/books/quran:10#h74"><a href="/books/quran:10#h74">[10:74]</a></a> but they were not going to believe in what they had belied in beforehand</span>’. Then Abu Ja’far^asws said: ‘The belying (in us^asws) was (from) then’.
