سَأَلْتُ أَبَا جَعْفَرٍ (عليه السلام) عَنْ قَوْلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ الَّذِينَ بَدَّلُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ كُفْراً قَالَ مَا تَقُولُونَ فِي ذَلِكَ قُلْتُ نَقُولُ هُمُ الْأَفْجَرَانِ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ بَنُو أُمَيَّةَ وَ بَنُو الْمُغِيرَةِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ هِيَ وَ اللَّهِ قُرَيْشٌ قَاطِبَةً إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَ تَعَالَى خَاطَبَ نَبِيَّهُ (صلى الله عليه وآله) فَقَالَ إِنِّي فَضَّلْتُ قُرَيْشاً عَلَى الْعَرَبِ وَ أَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ نِعْمَتِي وَ بَعَثْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ رَسُولِي فَبَدَّلُوا نِعْمَتِي كُفْراً وَ أَحَلُّوا قَوْمَهُمْ دَارَ الْبَوَارِ.
Translation
<a id="_Toc492473187">H 14525</a> – And by this chain, from Abaan Bin Usmaan, from Al-Haris Al-Nasry who said: <span class="first-chapter-phrase"><span class="first-in-chapter character-i">‘I</span> asked Abu Ja’far</span><sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> about the Statement of Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>: <span class="ibTxt">“<a href="/#/books/quran:14#h28"><a href="/books/quran:14#h28">[14:28]</a></a> Have you not seen those who have changed Allah's favour for ungratefulness”</span>, (Imam<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup>) asked: ‘What are you all saying about that?’ I said, ‘We are saying that these are the tyrants from the Qureish, the Clan of Umayya and the Clan of Al-Mugheira’. He<sup style="font-weight: normal">asws</sup> said: ‘By Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup>, this is about the Qureish in its entirety. Allah<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Blessed and High Addressed His<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Prophet<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup>, so He<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Said: “I<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Gave preference to the Qureish over the Arabs, and Completed upon them My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Favours, and Sent to the My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Rasool<sup style="font-weight: normal">saww</sup>, so they changed My<sup style="font-weight: normal">azwj</sup> Favour by denial <span class="ibTxt">“<a href="/#/books/quran:14#h28"><a href="/books/quran:14#h28">[14:28]</a></a> and made their people to alight into the abode of perdition”.</span>
